If getting away from it all is what you're looking for, Cat Island is where you want to be. This peaceful place will keep you far away from any disturbances in the  world. This island is flush with forests and hills that overlook the beautiful beaches down below. This island has the highest point in all of the Bahamas, 206 feet on Mt. Alverina. The island also has a lot  of caves to explore and a lot of inhabited land and species. There are approximately 2000 inhabitants on this island which is located 130 miles to the southeast of New Providence and occupies 150 square  miles. Many accommodations and restaurants are on this island also, and more than likely the locals will want to feed you!
