Governor's Harbour is located in central Eleuthera.  It is a quaint town that is over 300 yrs. old.  There are a number of hotels that offer snorkling, tennis and other  activities.  There is a small village nearby where you may do some shopping.  A short drive away is the famous glass window bridge, which is a must see.  There are also numerous caves to  explore.  The east side of the island is the ocean, which produces swells, and therefore makes Governor's Harbour one of the most popular destinations in the Bahamas for surfing.
