The Name Eleuthera means "freedom" in the Greek launguage, and when you come to North Eleuthera it is just that. North Eleuthera exhibits approximately two hundred
miles of amazing coves and beaches. Just north of North Eleuthera is another unique island named Harbour Island. Harbour island can be accessed by ferry boats which go back and forth on a regular
basis. Here is the only beach that has pink sand. The town has a lot of historical attractions to visit, including a cave that was once used as a jail. There are several nice
hotels here that are frequented by celebrities and feature lots of activities to do including sailboating, kayaking and horseback-riding on the beach. |
