Its located about 20 miles southwest of San Salvador, and is home to under 100 residents. There is only 1 settlement on the island called Port Nelson, and a restaurant
which serves an excellent Bahamian menu. The things to do there are walks on the beach, snorkel, swim, or you can visit some plantation ruins and just relax under the warm sun and meditating sounds of the
ocean. Accommodations will most likely be a home that you can rent. All in all, this is a very unique island. |
