Back in the sixty's, Norman's Cay was owned and used primarily by the drug smuggler's. The island was taken over by the authorities and now is one of, if not, the most breathtaking island in the Bahamas. A quick flight to the southeast of Nassau and you will find pure paradise. Norman's Cay has a few permanent residents and many seasonal residents either living on yachts or in homes. The main attraction on this island is the former resort named Macduff's, now The Norman’s Cay beach Club. The Norman’s Cay Beach Club is a beautiful resort on a three mile stretch of white, sandy beach and crystal clear blue water. They have built duplex's on the beach with magnificent views, where you can jump in the ocean and find your own conch! The Norman’s Cay Beach Club has a great restaurant and bar serving anything from cheeseburgers to native food. If you catch your own fish, they will be happy to cook it for you. The Norman’s Cay Beach Club is truly a place that you must go and visit. Norman's Cay is not only a great vacation spot, but because of it's close proximity to Nassau, you can also make it a day trip.
